Saint Argo International School to be expanded

Kasoa(C/R), May 5, GNA – Saint Argo International School at Kasoa has acquired a tract of land for the establishment of a Secondary/Technical and Vocational Training schools at Gomoa-Ankamu, near Apam, in the Central Region.

Nana Argo Larbie, Managing Proprietor, said the project formed part of the school’s expansion programme.

He was speaking at the first graduation of the School for 30 final-year Junior Secondary School students.

The institution, which was started with few pupils, now has a population of more 200 pupils, he said, stressing that the management was determined to assist the Government’s educational development plans to turn out students who would be useful citizens to the country. Mr Kweku Panyin Eyiah, Administrative Manager, commended the Parent Teachers Association (PTA) for its Contribution to the development of the school and stressed the need for an improvement in management/PTA relations.

Nai Kweku Osardu, Awutu-Bawjiasehene, asked parents to co-operate with school authorities to ensure the proper training of the children. He noted the important role of teachers, school authorities and PTAs for the effective management of institutions and called teamwork A former Senior Lecturer of the University of Ghana, Legon, Dr James Sammen praised Nana Argo Larbie for his efforts in ensuring good education, which he described as “the key to life” in the area.
