SAEMA to demolish directional signs

Sekondi Jan 21, GNA – The Shama-Ahanta East Metropolitan Assembly (SAEMA) is to remove directional signs at major junctions in the metropolis at the end of this month.

Mr John Latse, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Assembly, said this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview in Sekondi, on Saturday.

He said some of the signs were not properly installed and blocked the view of motorists.

Mr Latse said the exercise was also to beautify the metropolis as part of the preparation for the CAN 2008.

The PRO stated that the exercise would start with 14 junctions including that at the Kokompe Light Industrial Area, the Number Nine Traffic Light, Pipeano, Nkroful, Kweikuma and Effia junctions.
