SAEMA completes nine HIPC projects

Sekondi Oct. 17, GNA – The Shama-Ahanta East Metropolitan Assembly has completed nine HIPC projects at a cost of 884,647,606 cedis, Nana Yaw Boateng, Metropolitan Engineer, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sekondi.

Speaking in an interview on Friday, he said the projects were sited at Kwesimintsim, Anaji Village, New Site, Effia, Effiakuma, Assemansudo, Shama, and Nyankrom.

Nana Boateng said the projects were school blocks; refuse depots, and water closest and places of convenience.

He said the assembly was undertaking six other HIPC projects at New Takoradi, Diabene, Nyankrom, Kweikuma, Kwesimintsim and Effiakuma. Nana Boateng said the projects, estimated at 1,067,432 cedis, include blocks of classroom and places of convenience.
