Sabronum (Ash), April 14, GNA- The people of Sabronum in the Ahafo-Ano South District of Ashanti on Sunday raised 16.241 million cedis towards an electrification project.

Speaking at a fund-raising harvest for the project, Mr Joseph Agyemang Dapaah, the Presiding member of the Ahafo-Ano South District Assembly, called on the people in the town to bury their differences and contribute towards the development of the town.

He noted that Sabronum had the largest population in the district and must therefore let the spirit of oneness be their key word so as to impact positively on the town’s development. Mr Agyemang-Dapaah asked those responsible for the administration of the finances of the town to be transparent and accountable to the people.

Mr Simpi Agyei, Assemblyman for Sabronum, asked the people to have confidence in the unit committee since they would be transparent in whatever they did.

Mr K.B. Asomaning, a former District Chief Executive for the area, who chaired the function, called for understanding and forgiveness among the people.
