Royals for Peace and Development urges Ghanaians to be sober and unite

The Royals for Peace and Development has urged Ghanaians to use the death of President John Evans Atta Mills to reflect soberly and unite as one people.

A statement issued in Accra to extend its condolence to the former First Lady Dr (Mrs) Ernestina Naadu Mills, the families, the Government and people of Ghana, said “We received news of the sudden death of our beloved President Mills “Asomdwehene” with shock on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 24, soon after the group had closed from a meeting at its headquarters at Abelemkpe”.

“We note with keen concern the timely and smooth transition of power and wish to congratulate all individuals and relevant State institutions that ensured this.

“We also use this opportunity to congratulate President John Dramani Mahama on his assumption of the highest office of the land and wish him God’s guidance.”**
