Rojo Nunoo raises concerns about Akufo-Addo’s frequent foreign trips

The late John Atta Mills’ campaign manager in the 2008 elections, Rojo Mettle Nunoo has decried the tendency of the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, to fly outside the at the least opportunity.

He is quite certain that the president is yet to forget that he is no longer the minister for Foreign Affairs. Nunoo argues that the president needs only to be present in meetings that involve other heads of state; he should therefore leave the other foreign engagements to the minister of Foreign Affairs.

He added that, as a country, we are still facing numerous challenges, and as such, the president needs to focus more on dealing with these issues, instead of going on numerous trips.

He again stated that six months onward, the current administration is yet to take several important decisions such as appointments unto boards and councils of tertiary educational institutions.

On the performance of the NPP government since it took office, he said that he had no expectations from them, hence is indifferent about its performance. The president has been to Sierra Leone, Togo, Liberia, Mali, Liberia and Mali, since he assumed office.
