Rocky Dawuni Rocks Finland

Ghana’s reggae superstar, Rocky Dawuni brought Helsinki, Finland to a stand still with his headlining concert at the Tavastia. The UNICEF benefit concert also featured a who’s who of Finnish stars that came out to support the cause with all of them joining Rocky on stage for riotous encore. Earlier in the day, Rocky was guest at Breakfast TV on MTV3, one of the biggest commercial networks in Finland as well as Helsinki’s powerful Radio Nova.

Rocky then was a guest at the UNICEF Summer Party, where he met with some 200 key stakeholders of UNICEF Finland, before the night’s concert at Tavastia rock club. The visit received wide media coverage and brought attention to Rocky’s music as well as his work with UNICEF on children’s causes around the world.

This year is shaping up to be another milestone for the Ghanaian star who was recently signed to a co-publishing and administration deal by US film company Lionsgate Music. He is also scheduled to appear in major concerts across the US notably Wilshire Theatre in Los Angeles on June 26th, The Independent in San Francisco on July 26th, Tad Gromley Stadium in New Orleans on August 1st, Reggae On the Rocks in Colorado on August 16th, Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles on August 7th, Malibu Inn in Malibu on August 24th.
