A gang of eight armed men with AK47 rifles, on Friday night robbed several shops in parts of Suame Magazine industrial area near Kwasi Oppong road in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
They reportedly made away with some valuables and an amount of GHS5,400.
It is the latest robbery incident after a brief lull in the rise of such crimes in the Kumasi metropolis.
The robbers, according XYZ News’ Ashanti regional Correspondent, Isaac Bediako Justice, fired indiscriminately during the robbery.
The regional capital got inundated with murders and robberies last month, but the situation appeared to have abated until the latest incident.
