Roads network in Wassa West to be improved

Tarkwa (W/R), Oct. 25, GNA – Mr. Benjamin Kweku Assabil, Presiding Member of the Wassa West District Assembly has assured the people that the rehabilitation of existing roads in the area would be at the top of the Assembly’s development agenda to boost economic activity. He said the Assembly had acquired a 1.4 billion cedis grader and said the equipment would be used to the benefit of all communities without discrimination.

Mr. Assabil told the Ghana News Agency soon after he had been re-elected for another two-year term that important road projects in many communities would be tackled vigorously.

He mentioned the Low Cost-Tamso road as one of the project that would soon be tackled and urged the people to contact his office or the District Assembly to clarify issues they did not understand instead of resorting to rumour mongering.

Mr. Assabil polled 55 votes to beat his challenger, Mr. Moses Ackah, Assembly Member for Nkamponase, who had 19 votes to retain his position as Presiding Member.
