Roads Closed For Filming Of Will Smith’s Movie

Sections of the 28th February Ceremonial Road in Accra, the capital of Ghana have been closed to traffic to facilitate the smooth filming of American film star, Will Smith’s latest movie, “Ali.”

Hundreds of young people thronged the sides of the ceremonial route to cheer the weather beaten Smith spotting an Afro hairstyle reminiscent of Mohammed Ali’s hairstyle.

Acting as the boxing legend Mohammed Ali, Smith waved to the crowds as he retraced the 1966 visit of Mohammed Ali to Ghana when he accompanied the late Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana on a parade tour of the Independence Square.

The ceremonial square houses the cenotaph in memory of unknown soldiers who died during the Second World War.

Will Smith arrived in Ghana a few days ago to film parts of the movie on Ali’s life history.
