River Offin overflows its banks

Amaada (Ash), June 15, GNA – River Offin has over flooded its banks and displaced about 1,000 people of Amaada, a farming community following three days of rainfall. About 400 houses including school blocks have been flooded and people are transporting their personal belongings by canoe to Anin-Nkrumah, a nearby town. Nana Asiamah-Poku Afrifa, a member of the Council of State and Madam Theresah Adomako-Tawiah, the Atwima Mponua District Chief Executive, have visited the area.
