Revoke nomination of Keta MCE– Anlo youth to Nana Addo

Some aggrieved youth of Anlo in the Keta Municipality of the Volta region have asked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to as a matter of urgency, revoke the nomination of Seth Yormewu as Municipal chief Executive for the area.
Mr. Yormewu who was nominated alongside 24 others for the MMDCE positions in the Volta region, according to the Anlo youth, does not deserve such a position due to his ‘insubordination’ towards traditional authorities of Anlo.

Philip Bokorgah, spokesperson of the aggrieved youth said to be supporters of the governing NPP, told a press conference in Keta that the MCE nominee cannot be entrusted with the security of the people of Anlo, as he has on many occasions worked to undermine the reign of the Paramount Chief, Togbui Sri III.

The youth, who prior to nominations, declared their support for Dr. Benjamin Dzamesi, one of the short listed MCE aspirants, vowed to intensify their protest against the President’s nominee, adding they are ‘willing to work with any one else except Mr. Yormewu.’

This is a second open protest against MMDCE nominees in the Volta region, as some NPP members in the South Dayi district also rejected the nomination of one Ella Boateng, as DCE for the area.
