Reverend Ministers urged to respect their flock

Rt. Rev. Nicholas K. Asane, Bishop of the Cape Coast Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana has cautioned Superintendent Ministers, Ministers and Lay Preachers to give equal attention to all members of the church – both young and old.

Bishop Asane was speaking at the induction service at which Very Rev. Charles Kojo Sangmoah, Supt. Minister in-charge of the Bisease Circuit was inducted into office.

The Bishop advised Christians to stay away from indiscipline acts and other social vices and rather be humble and be at peace with everyone.

He advised Very Rev. Sangmoah that the success of his new office would depend on the congregation and that he should attend to them equally and with humility.

Bishop Asane congratulated the out-going Supt. Minister Very rev. J.K. Mensah for the good work he did.

The officiating Ministers include Very Rev. Ebenezer Abaka-Wilson, Secretary, Diocesan Synod and Brother Peter Atta-Amofa, Lay Chairman, Cape Coast Methodist Church.

The Roman Catholic Vicar General of Sefwi Wiawso, Monsignor Asamoah, also attended the induction service, as well as Supt. Ministers, ministers, queen-mothers and delegates from Tarkwa, Koforidua, Tema and Coast.

The Very Rev. Sangmoah, a native of Enchie in the Western Region was born on 23rd August 1969 where he had his basic education.

Rev. Sangmoah was commissioned and ordained a reverend minister in 2003 at the Calvary Methodist, Adabraka, and holds a bachelors degree in theology.
