Reverend Minister presents food items and clothes to Babies Home

Mampong (Ash), Sept. 14, GNA – Rev. Maxwell Kofi Karikari of the International Charismatic Church (ICC) based in Austria and a citizen of Asante-Mampong at the weekend presented food items and second-hand clothes valued at 20 million cedis to the Asante-Mampong Babies Home. The items included six bags of rice, loaves of bread, biscuits, confectionaries and second-hand clothes.

Making the presentation, Rev Karikari said it was his widow’s mite towards the upkeep of the babies and orphans. He pledged to employ one person on his payroll to strengthen the staffing position of the Home so as to provide adequate services to the children.

Mr Peter Sarkodie, the NPP parliamentary candidate for Mampong, who also contributed a bag of rice in support of Rev Karikari, called for the judicious use of the items so as to ensure that the children were adequately catered for. Madam Mabel Asafu-Adjaye, the Superintendent of the Home, who received the items, expressed her appreciation to the donors for their kind gesture and concern for the children. She assured them that the items would be used for the purpose for which they were donated and encouraged other kind-hearted people to assist the Home.
