Reverend Minister passes away after 35 years service

Kumasi, Sept. 14, GNA – Rev Joseph Kwabena Gyimah, founder of the True Light of Christ Church, has passed away after 35 years of service in the Lord’s vineyard and ministering to mankind. The 82-year-old minister of religion passed away at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) last Friday, September 10, after a short illness. He left behind a wife and 17 children.

Reverend Nana Amma Agyemang, wife of the late Rev Gyimah flanked by Reverend George Agyemang, an associate pastor of the church, told the Apart from propagating the gospel, the late Rev Gyimah was also very much concerned about quality education for children and other social and community development.

Rev Amma Agyemang said he demonstrated this by establishing a school complex, comprising a primary and junior secondary school at Abrepo. In furtherance of this, he assisted many brilliant but needy school children with scholarships for the pursuance of their education at the basic level.
