Rev. Nti Frimpong heads Baptist Ministers’ Conference

Reverend Mark Nti Frimpong, Head Pastor of the Takoradi First Baptist Church, has been inducted as the National President of the Ministers’ Conference of the Ghana Baptist Convention.

Rev. Frimpong, had served the Baptist Convention in various capacities since he became a founding member of the church in May 1978 after baptism by Dr. Eugene Verner, a Baptist missionary.

Before his election to the high office of the Church, he was the National Vice President of the Ministers’ Conference.

Rev. Enoch Thompson, Vice President in charge of Ministries who gave the Act of Induction, reminded the newly-inducted President that the Bible should be his guide in leading the Church and the nation.

He said reforming and spiritual renewal of the country must become paramount to curb the unacceptable social vices that seemed to be the order of the day.

In a sermon, Reverend Fred Deegbe, Chairman of the Denominational Board of the Church, entreated the President to work around the pillars of integrity, forgiveness, and peace, in building the Church of God.

He also admonished the newly-inducted executives to encourage one another in the Lord, trust in Him and abound in His Word.
