Rev. Dr Ayete-Nyampong inducted Akuapem Presbytery Chairperson

‘ Akropong-Akuapem, Oct. 25, GNA – Reverend Dr Samuel Ayete-Nyampong, was inducted into office as the new chairperson for the Akuapem Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, at Akropong on Sunday.

Rev. Dr Ayete-Nyampong, former Director of Inter-Faith and Research Center of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, succeeds Rev. Dr. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, whose tenure of office as Presbytery Chairperson ended on August 31. Preaching the sermon, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Professor Emmanuel Martey, called on Ghanaians to ensure unity and unity for development. He condemned ethnocentrism, division, nepotism, rancor, bribery and corruption, rumour mongering and back-biting in Ghana, especially when the country was preparing for Election 2012.
