Rev. Bishop Akwaboah appeals for unity in honor of late President

RT. Rev. Dr. Dr. Bishop Francis Akwaboah has appealed to Ghanaians, particularly politicians to, as a matter of national importance, suspend all political activities and unify to ensure that late President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills is offered a befitting burial.

In a press release issued in Accra, the Founder and General Overseer of the Christian Hope Ministry International affirmed that in this torrid moment “… Ghanaians must use the period as an opportunity to pave way to treat our differences to ensure the continuous unity and solidarity in the country.”

Continuing, the renowned cleric humbly called on President John Mahama to use his office and influence to declare a national day of fasting and prayer, to seek God’s mercy and grace of the hearts and minds of Ghanaians for humility.

“I still pleadingly call upon all denominations to lay aside their religious differences and pray for God’s guidance and mercy to resolve any forth coming political crises in the country,” the statement asserted.

The statement therefore advised present and future leaders of the country to endeavor to emulate the leadership style of the former president.**
