Returnee health professionals to be re-engaged

Accra, Oct. 14, GNA – The Ministry of Health on Thursday said it has set up an office within the Directorate of Human Resources for Health Development to receive and promptly process applications for returnee health professionals for their re-engagement.

Dr Yaw Antwi-Boasiako, Director, Human Resources for Health Development of the Ministry, in a statement said, “this has become necessary in view of the frustrations that health professional hitherto went through in their bid to secure re-engagement”.

It said the Office would also link up with the International Organisation on Migration (IOM) to handle applications from Ghanaians professionals abroad, who wished to work for short periods in Ghana. Applicants should call on the Director, Human Resource for Health Development at the Ministry of Health Headquarters, Room 7 or Room 51 to complete application forms.

The statement said the forms would soon be accessible at the Embassies and High Commissions of Ghana abroad and also on the net at the Ministry of Health (MOH) website.

The Ministry gave the assurance to prospective applicants of prompt attention.
