Retired civil servant made Benkumhene

Parkoso (Ash), May 4, GNA – Nana Agyei Marfo Okofroban II, chief of Parkoso near Asokore-Mampong in the Kumasi metropolis, has warned people who have been parading themselves as the chief of the town to desist from that act in the interest of peace.

Nana Okofroban gave the warning at the installation of Nana Baafuo Asamoah as the Benkumhene of Parkoso.

Nana Asamoah, 66, is a retired Superintendent of the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) in Kumasi.

The creation of the Benkum stool brings to seven the number of sub-chiefs installed by the chief for the town. Nana Okofroban called on the people of Parkoso to rally behind him and the sub chiefs including the newly installed chief to pave the way for development of the communities.

On his part, Nana Asamoah pledged his total commitment to the service of the Parkosohene, his people and the town. 04 May 04
