Restore Ashaiman Main Post Office – Opinion Leader

Mr Charles Huno, an opinion leader in the Ashaiman Municipality has called on the municipal authorities to restore the Ashaiman Main Post in order to facilitate the flow of information and enhance productivity.

He said since 2010, when a court ejected the Ashaiman Main Post Office from a rented premise due to rent arrears, postal boxes were relocated to the Community 11 Post Office in Tema.

He said it is very embarrassing for owners of postal boxes like him to have their incoming mails spread on the floor for them to continually seek permission to enter the mail room to trace their letters.

Mr Huno, who made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Tema on Saturday, said besides the inconvenience of traveling all the way from Ashaiman to Tema to check for their postal mails, the probability that documents may mix up was very high.

He said: “I am making a passionate appeal to the government to come to the aid of the Ashaiman Municipality and help restore the Main Post Office”.
