Respected Man Jailed For Defiling Boy

Mr. Victor Klutse, a residence of Lashibi, has been sentenced to a seven-year imprisonment for defiling a seven years old boy. The Tema Circuit Court, presided over by his Lordship Charles Aseidu, charged the accused for defilement and causing damage for which he pleaded guilty.

The facts as presented by, the prosecutor Chief Inspector Mary Assuanta, was that the victim and the accused lived in the same vicinity at Lashibi, a suburb of Tema. She continued that on February 9, this year at about 9.00pm, the victim was watching television in front of a shop near the house of the accused. According to the prosecutor, the accused, who is a very popular person within the community, went to the shop where the boy was watching the television.

Chief Inspector Assuanta said the accused shamefully invited the Victim to come over so that they could have sex, but the boy refused. However, after persistent persuasion, the accused succeeded in luring the innocent boy, into a dark area, where he pushed him on the floor, face down, and forced his way through his anus. The accused did not end there but went further to insert his fore finger into the victim’s anus. But, the accused, in his defense, stated that he did not defile the child, but all he did was to insert his fore finger in and out of the boys anus a few times.

The prosecutor further stated the victim after the act suffered severe bleeding from his anus, which compelled his mother to rush him to the hospital. Doctor’s report on the seven year old boy who is currently receiving medical affection at Tema General Hospital, showed that the boy was in a very critical condition. The accused was therefore arraigned before the court where he was sentenced to seven years in jail.
