Residents of Krutu appeal for borehole

Nkwabeng (B/A), June 12, GNA – Mr Matthew Agyemang, Assembly member for Nkwabeng-Anarfo in Nkoranza District has appealed to the Assembly to help the people to construct a borehole at Krutu, a settler farming community.

Mr Agyemang told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Nkoranza that the population of about 500 faced the risk of frequent outbreaks of water borne diseases, as there were no sources of good drinking water. “What is very sad about the situation is that domestic animals including sheep, pigs and goats also drink from the same stream,” he said.

Mr Agyemang said the people were paying special contributions to raise funds towards the project and appealed to the Assembly to supplement their efforts.
