Residents of Have in the Volta Region protest against Fulani

Residents of Have near Kpando in the Volta Region have demonstrated against the activities of Fulani herdsmen in the area.

According to residents, the pastoralists are destroying farmlands with their cattle and raping women in the area.

Accra News’ Volta regional correspondent, Michael Owusu Asare, who covered the demonstration on Friday, reported on Saturday May 27 that the residents had earlier petitioned the Volta regional minister, Dr Archibald Letsa, however, there had not been any response from him, hence the decision to embark on the demonstration.

He further reported that residents have decided to launch reprisal attacks on the Fulanis if the government does not step in to deal with the situation.
