Residents displeased with elimination from road project

Boadi (Ash), Jan 21, GNA – Inhabitants of Appiadu and Kokoben in the Kumasi Metropolis on Saturday expressed concern about the exclusion of the two communities from a road rehabilitation project being undertaken by the Department of Urban Roads in the Ayeduase Electoral Area.

The two communities said they are aggrieved because even though they are just two kilometres away from the Boadi Junction- Deduako-Kotei road that was awarded on contract last year, they were not part of communities benefiting from it.

Madam Helena Asante, Assembly Woman for the Ayeduase Electoral Area, told the GNA in an interview that it was a source of worry to her and the chiefs and residents of the areas and appealed to the Department of Urban Roads to take a second look at the situation. 21 Jan 06
