Report on crisis at Times still awaited

The Minister of Communications, Ekow Spio Garbrah, has confimed that the Cabinet has not reached a final determination on the crisis at the New Times Corporation in which workers of the corporation locked out the Board of Directors together with the Managing Director, Mr. George Aryee.

The Minister, in a statement to the press, has urged all who have interests in the matter to remain patient for the outcome of cabinet’s decisions and refrain from displaying their own prejudices.

According to Mr. Spio Garbrah, the report of the committee of enquiry established by the ministry is still receiving the attention of the cabinet. He gave the assurance that cabinet’s decision on the committee’s recommendation would be concluded before or at the next cabinet meeting.
