Replace NVTI Grade two certificate- Official

Fawohoyeden (B/A), July 26, GNA – Mr. R.K. Bedzra, Brong Ahafo Regional Coordinator of the National Youth Council, has appealed to the Board of Trustees of the Council, to upgrade the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI), Grade Two certificate, to NVTI Grade One. Mr Bedzra said the proposed change would entice more students to pursue courses at the Institute.

He made the proposal when a member of the NYC Board, Madam Janet Kwami, paid a day’s visit to the Youth Leadership Training Institute at Fawohoyeden in the Asunafo District. Mr Bedzra called on the new Board to work hard to uplift the image of the Council.

Madam Kwami commended the Fawohoyeden Institute, for its achievements despite its poor teaching and learning facilities. Mr Stephen Atuahene, the Principal asked the Board to tackle the Institute’ perennial water problem.

During the open forum, the teachers and students appealed for the improvement of the school’s infrastructure and security measures. The teachers called for an upward review of their monthly salaries.
