Remove our facility from your achievements; Brodekwano Health Centre tells gov’t

Authorities of the Brodekwano Methodist Health Centre in the Bosomtwi District of Ashanti Region have given the Energy Minister and the District Chief Executive three days to prove that the facility was constructed by the NDC government.

A campaign brochure by Dr Joe Oteng Agyei, NDC parliamentary candidate for the area and Nti Berko, DCE, on the achievements of the NDC government in the district captures the Methodist health facility.

But according to the Centre’s Head of Finance and Administration, Samuel Odame, the health centre was solely constructed and funded by the Methodist church with no support from government.

He challenged the ruling NDC to provide evidence to the effect that the party truly constructed the facility lest he would be compelled to drag the two state officials to court if they fail to withdraw the facility from the list NDC achievements.

Mr. Odame also accused the ruling party of sneaking into the premises of the health facility to take photographs of it without their knowledge.

But District Chief Executive for Bosomtwi District Assembly, Edward Nti Berko speaking in an interview with Luv News conceded the assembly made an error in capturing the facility as one of the achievements of the assembly.

According to him, the only contribution of the Assembly to the Centre was a toilet facility and as such could not be credited with the construction of the facility.

He stated that the Assembly having acknowledged their error has taken measures to remedy the anomaly.

The measures according to him include publicly announcing through the District the truth about the facility.
