Remains of Rev John Kofi Yeboah laid to rest

The remains of Reverend Fr. John Kofi Yeboah, the Catholic priest who got burnt in a gruesome motor accident at Abowinm has been laid to rest at the St Theresa’s Minor Seminary at Amissano near Ankaful in the Central Region.

Reverend Fr. John Kofi Yeboah died with three others when the vehicle conveying the remains of his 80year old uncle, Opanyin James Anderson for burial at Abodom was involved in an accident and burst into flames.

The solemn burial mass held at the St Francis de Sale Cathedral and officiated by Most Reverend Matthias Kobina Nketsiah, Archbishop of Cape Coast.

In attendance were more than 150 priests from the Central, Western and Greater Accra regions, reverend sisters and Brothers as well as parishioners from all the dioceses in the region. Also present was Nana Ato Arthur, Member of Parliament for the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Constituency and the Chief of Abura, Nana Kojo Addai.

The Late Fr. Yeboah who had been a priest for 20 years was transferred from Awutu Breku St Mark’s Catholic Church to the St Lawrence Catholic Church Abura in 2011 where he introduced daily morning masses, community masses as well as deliverance and healing services every first and last weeks of the month.
