Jasikan, Aug. 29, GNA – His Lordship, Most Reverend Gabriel Ababio Akwesi Mante, Bishop of Jasikan Diocese of the Catholic Church, has reiterated the call on religious leaders to use the pulpit to address the moral decadence confronting the country.
He urged them to move away from preaching prosperity and help address the deterioration of the nation’s social fibre. Bishop Mante made the call at the end of a four-day congress of the Accra Provincial Catholic Charismatic Renewal at Jasikan. The Congress was on the theme, “Be Holy for I am Holy”. Bishop Mante asked Christians to reflect on their lives, faith and relationship with God and live upright lifestyles, to be worthy ambassadors of Christ on Earth. He asked them to endeavour to be Holy and exhibit charity which pleases God.
The Provincial Ecclesiastics Co-ordinator, Charles Antwi Konadu advised participants and young people at large to live responsible lives and desist from armed-robberies and fraudulent lifestyles, which were a dent on the nation. The Accra Province comprises of Koforidua, Ho, Keta, Akatsi, Jasikan and Accra Dioceses. 29 Aug. 09
