Religious bodies urged to intensify education on morals

Konongo (Ash), Aug 30, GNA- Religious bodies have been urged to intensify preaching and education on morals in order to do away with indiscipline in the society.

Religious leaders should use the word of God to also preach discipline all the time as Jesus Christ did during his lifetime. Miss Anyelley Quarshie, Cashier of the Konongo-Mampong Diocese of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR), made the call at a youth camp meeting of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal at Konongo on Friday. She said immoral acts such as rape, stealing, human rights abuse, child labour, alcoholism and drug abuse were on the ascendancy. Miss Quarshie advised Christian youth to be selective in whatever they do and refrain from going to church with obscene dresses. Mr J.K. Nketiah, Diocesan CCR Co-ordinator, appealed to church leaders to give financial support to the youth in the church to undertake youth programmes.

He advised the youth to avoid sexual activities until they become responsible.
