Registration Round-off Ho

Registration Officers at a number of registration centres visited by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Ho and Klefe at the close of the voters’ registration at 1800 on Monday were busy compiling their final figures. The expected rush by people to meet the deadline was completely absent. At the Klefe Dome L. A. JSS Centre and Klefe Demete a total of 633 and 772 people, respectively, were registered during the two-week period.

At the High Court Centre in Ho a total of 455 were recorded as having been registered during the period, while the Deeper Life Centre also in Ho registered 36 people on the final day. Registrations, however, continued at some centres at Aflao after the official close of the exercise at 1800 hours.

At least 25 people were still in the queues at the Border Complex School Centre, 15 at the Post Office Centre and 10 at the Timber Market Centre. Mr Dogbey Selormey, Ketu District Officer of the EC, said the few people in queues after the official close of the exercise would be registered.
