Registrar-General To Meet BCCI Customers

Accra The Registrar-General’s Department is inviting all creditors/depositors of the Bank of Credit and Commerce to a meeting at the department tomorrow. A statement signed by Mr J.K. Harlley, Principal State Attorney, said the meeting will start at 10.30 am. Last month, the Department gave creditors/depositors of the bank which is in receivership until May 21, to show proof of debt. It said the request was in pursuance of a High Court order in the official winding up of the bank. Liquidators of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International are said to have paid 24.5 per cent of debt owed to depositors.
