Regional Minister inaugurates Police Station, quarters

Pokukrom (Ash), Oct. 17, GNA – Mr Sampson Kwaku Boafo, Ashanti Regional Minister, on Thursday inaugurated a new Police Station and living accommodation for the police personnel at Pokukrom, built by the Ahafo-Ano District Assembly at a cost of 400 million cedis.

Addressing a durbar of chiefs and people of the town at the inauguration of the facilities, the Minister told the people that the government had fulfilled most of the NPP’s promises to the electorate within the relatively short period in power, saying the few remaining would be delivered in the next four years.

He asked the people to avoid unnecessary complaints and bickering and rather co-operate to move the district forward in its developmental effort so as to raise their living conditions.

Mr Ofosu-Mensah Gyeabour, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, urged the people to avoid political violence in the run-up to, during and after the elections.

Mr Kwaku Obeng Boateng, the District Chief Executive, asked the people to remain united to ensure victory for the NPP at this year’s elections so that the government could continue with its developmental agenda.
