Red-hot fashion event in Chicago

Check out Ghana style Sunday at “Tapestry,” a fashion show and student design competition sponsored by the Chicago Sister Cities International Program’s Accra Committee, at the Chicago Cultural Center’s Claudia Cassidy Theater.

Using traditional fabric imported from Ghana, 10 local designers, including Barbara Bates, Jermikko and John Schultz, will display contemporary looks at the show, and four fashion school students will debut their designs. 6 p.m. Tickets are $50; $25 for students with ID.
