Red Cross presents items to flood victims

Bosuso (E/R), Aug 20, GNA – The Eastern Regional Branch of the Red Cross Society of Ghana on Friday donated relief items valued at GHC 3,000 to flood victims at Bosuso in the Fanteakwa District.

The items included blankets, toiletries, sleeping mats, tarpaulins, plates, cups, spoons, jerry cans and water tabs.

The donation, which was sponsored by UNICEF, catered for 96 households in the community.

Mr Kwame Darko-Asumadu, Eastern Regional Manager of the Red Cross, expressed gratitude to UNICEF for supporting the organization and called on other philanthropists and non-governmental organizations to support other affected communities.
