Red Cross official to visit Ghana

Accra, March 15, GNA – Mr Jean-Jacques Tshamala, Deputy Regional Delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) would pay a two-day official visit to Ghana on Monday, March 19, this year.

In a statement signed by Andrews Kofi Frimpong, Secretary General of Ghana Red Cross Society, Mr Tshamala would visit various interlocutors, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, British and Canadian High Commissions and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees and the French Embassy.

He would also visit the offices of the Ghana Red Cross Society to familiarise himself with the recent upscale in the activities of the society.

Mr Tshamala is in-charge of Red Cross Societies in Ghana, Togo, Cote d’Ivoire, Benin and Burkina Faso.

ICRC, with its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland is an International Committee of the Red Cross, an independent, neutral organisation that ensures humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of war and armed violence. 15 March 07
