Red Cross Construct Wells In Bolga District

Winkogo, (U/E), Aug 15, –The Ghana Red Cross Society (GRCS) has constructed two wells at seven million cedis at Yikene and Winkogo- Laabisi in the Bolgatanga District. Members of the two communities who were travelling long distances to search for water, sang and danced as the Secretary- general of the GRCS, Mr Anthony Gyedu-Adomako, commissioned the project. Mr Gyedu-Adomako said it was a joy for the Red Cross to be able to support communities in need. He commended members of the Red Cross Mother’s Club for their communal spirit in the execution of the project and added “let’s maintain the wells.” Dr Joseph Amankwah, the regional chairman, said with good drinking water, more than half of the communities health problems have been solved.
