Real Madrid linked with Ghanaian centre-back Oscar Naasei in Granada move

Oscar Naasei, a Ghanaian defender at Granada CF, has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old centre-back is currently playing for Granada in LaLiga2, while the reported destination is Real Madrid in LaLiga. Naasei joined Granada’s senior squad from Recre Granada on 1 July 2025 and has a contract with the club until 30 June 2028.

Naasei has made two appearances in the current LaLiga2 campaign, registering 22% of the available minutes. He has not scored or provided an assist in those matches.

The right-footed defender began his time in Spain with Granada’s under-19 side after joining from Emmanuel City in July 2023. He subsequently moved to Recre Granada during the 2023-24 season before returning to Granada’s first team last summer.

The reported interest comes despite Naasei having made only two senior appearances in the current campaign and 2 LaLiga2 appearances overall, according to his recorded career statistics. No transfer fee has been established, and the rumour does not indicate that negotiations have reached an advanced stage.

Naasei remains a Granada player under contract through June 2028, with his current role centred on the club’s LaLiga2 squad.
