React to Flagstaff House resignation rumours – Agyepong tells Presidency

The General Secretary of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Kwabena Agyepong has urged President John Mahama to immediately clarify the status of the appointment of his Executive Secretary, Dr Raymond Atuguba and Presidential spokesperson, Ben Dotse Malor, so as to put rumours of their exit from government to rest.

The two key government officials are rumoured to have deserted their posts ahead of a supposed ministerial reshuffle by the President.

Although government has remained quiet on the speculations, Agyepong believes the development is unhealthy for good governance.

“We are now receiving reports of resignations at the seat of government, these are unhealthy for governance.

“ I will advise the President to immediately put these matters to rest because they distract governance and creates the picture that the President is not focused on what he was elected to do,” Agyepong told Oman FM Wednesday .
