Re:NPP China Branch (Youth) Appeal To You Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo ADDO TO CONSIDER PROF. LAWRENCE GYANSAH AS GHANA AMBASSADOR TO CHINA-A REJOINDER.
The attention of the Branch Executive Committee of the China Branch of the New Patriotic Party has been drawn to a press release with the above caption by a group calling itself NPP CHINA BRANCH (YOUTH) and we wish to dissociate ourselves from it and set the record straight.
There is no such group as NPP China Branch (Youth) that is recognized by our constitution. Activities of the youth in our party are ably coordinated by our Youth Organizer, Mr. Akwasi Prempeh who is constitutionally mandated to mobilize and champion the affairs of the youth and that any group purporting to be doing same without the knowledge and express permission of the youth leader does so either out of ignorance or pure malice. The branch would want to believe that this alleged youth group is of the former rather than later.
Again, we wish to remind all Ghanaians, who seek to be a part of the incoming government of H.E Nana Akufo Addo , president- elect of the republic of Ghana to bear in mind that as experienced and visionary that he is, he has a fair idea of who can do what in his administration and that no amount of pressure can be mounted on him to influence his decision. All party members who supported this project of change and work tirelessly towards it shall be recognized and duly acknowledged in due time.
We wish to finally put on record that Mr. Moses Antwi and Prof. Lawrence Gyansah have been relieved of their positions since 2015 and 2016 respectively and as such are no longer executive members of the China branch and as such should cease from carrying themselves as such. In fact, Prof. Lawrence Gyansah and Mr. Moses Antwi should know better than carrying themselves in capacities in which they no longer serve. That amounts impersonation and should be condemned by all well meaning people.
The general public is therefore entreated to disregard the press release and treat it with the contempt it deserves.
