RCC fetes media, heads of departments.

Sekondi, Dec. 24, GNA- Mr. Joseph B. Aidoo, the Western Regional Minister, has said that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would be “trimmed to size” in next year’s general elections.

“The actual trimming would be done by the electorate through clean and fair electoral process in 2004.”

Mr. Aidoo was speaking at an end of year get-together organized by the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) for the media and heads of government departments and institutions in the region at the residency on Tuesday.

He said most of the top hierarchy of the NDC are likely to go back to their traditional political groups and neglect the NDC.

Mr. Aidoo expressed his appreciation to workers in the region for the hard work and support for the government and reminded them that, they would have to work even harder in the coming year “to improve the economic fortunes of the country”.

He said though the three years of NPP rule had had its own problems, the government did its best to manage such problems and pledged government’s commitment to work hard and improve the lives of Ghanaians.
