Rawlings’ son Kimathi weds fiancée in simple, elegant ceremony

Kimathi Rawlings, son of the late ex-president, Jerry John Rawlings, has officially married his fiancée in a modest and heartfelt ceremony.

While not much is known about the specifics of the occasion, clips making rounds online and sighted by Ghana Weekend reveal a refined and understated celebration.

The private ceremony had close family in attendance, including his mother, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, and his sisters, among them Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings.

Dressed in a crisp white Agbada, Kimathi complemented his bride, who stunned in a chic white gown. One of the standout moments showed the newlyweds dancing blissfully to KiDi’s popular love anthem Odo.

The viral footage has stirred various reactions on social media, with many expressing surprise at the simplicity of the event, given Kimathi’s presidential lineage.
