Rawlings off to Congo Brazzaville

Accra, Dec. 8, GNA – Former President Jerry John Rawlings on Wednesday left Accra for Congo Brazzaville to honour an invitation from the Congolese President Sassou Nguesso.

A statement signed Mr Victor Smith, Special Assistant and Director of Public Affairs in Accra, said Former President Rawlings and Mrs Rawlings are attending a family event in Brazzaville scheduled for Friday December 10.

The statement said the couple would be away for six days.
