Rawlings, Mahama, others cut NDC 25th Anniversary cake

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Saturday held a rally to mark its 25th anniversary at Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.

As part of activities for the day, leading members of the party headed by the founder, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings together and Former President John Dramani Mahama cut the anniversary cake amidst cheers from the crowd and party songs playing in the background.

The rally held at the Mandela Park in Ashaiman formed part of a series of events outlined to mark the party’s silver Jubilee. Former Presidents and parliamentarians in the party thronged the venue in their numbers. Founder of the party, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings was also present to grace the occasion.

Unity among other things was preached by most of the leaders who urged enthusiasts to remain steadfast and faithful to the course of the party.
The silver jubilee celebrations was under the theme: ‘Mirroring the past into the future.’
