Rawlings informed of Kwahuhene’s demise

A delegation of chiefs and elders from the Kwahu Traditional Area, has called on former President, Jerry John Rawlings, to formerly announce the demise of the Kwahuhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng II.

The nine-member delegation led by Nana Somuah Mireku Nyampong, Asakrahene and Apagyahene of Kwahu informed Flight Lieutenant Rawlings of the details of the final funeral rites and invited him and his wife Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings to the activities marking the home call of the departed.

The royal farewell for Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng who passed away in 2013 at the age of 80 years would commence at Abene-Kwahu on Sunday December 7 and last for a week.

Former President Rawlings recalled memories of the departed royal and accepted the invitation to attend the final funeral rites.
