Rawlings consoles R.R. Amponsah’s family

Accra, June 9, GNA – Former President Jerry John Rawlings has sent a message of condolence to the family of Mr. R. R. Amponsah who died last Wednesday.

Mr. Amponsah, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party and holder of several political positions during his long political career died last week. A statement signed by Mr Kofi Adams, an aide of the former president, quoted the message as writing: “The NPP has lost a dedicated son.”

“I call on the family to remain strong in this period of transition. A void has been left in your lives but God will give you strength. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.” 9 June 09
