Rawlings’ Bodyguard Arrested

Daniel Mensah a private bodyguard of Flt. Lt. J. J. Rawlings the former President, has been arrested by the Kotobabi Police for illegally committing a malpractice during the recent nationwide voter registration exercise.

Mensah was spotted by the paper in the Kotobabi Police Station, last Saturday, just before he made his statement on the alleged offence.

The arrest of Mensah puts the number of those nabbed in connection with the registration malpractices which rocked the Central Ayawaso Constituency to four.

When the police asked him to go behind the counter and await questioning from Sergeant Boadi, he was heard asking what his offence was, even though he eventually complied with the instructions of the Cops.

The Kotobabi Police had for sometime now mounted a manhunt for the suspect alongside others associated with the alleged registration malpractice which occurred in the Central Ayawaso Constituency.

Alhaji Said Sinare, NDC Parliamentary candidate for Central Ayawaso, Daniel Mensah and Safuru Shardow were those on the wanted list of the Kotobabi Police.
