Rainstorm renders 50 homeless in Twifo District

Twifo Anyinase (C/R), April 5, GNA – Fifty people were rendered homeless and personal effects worth about 50 million cedis were destroyed, when a severe rainstorm ripped off the roofs of 20 houses, at Twifo Anyinase in the Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira District, last Sunday.

Mr Prince Arhin, Twifo Hemang-Lower-Denkyira District co-coordinator of NADMO, who visited the town on Monday to acquaint himself with the extent of damage, consoled and promised to assist the victims.

He advised the people to plant trees to serve as windbreaks. Meanwhile, the victims are staying with friends and relatives.
