Rainstorm hits five communities in Fanteakwa

Abrenya (E/R), March 25, GNA – A recent rainstorm in some parts of the Fanteakwa District in the Eastern Region, has caused the destruction of farms and properties. The cost of destruction was yet to be estimated. Many houses were destroyed rendered people homeless in communities such as Dwenase, Abompe and Saamang. A batik centre at the Osino Senior High School had its roof completely ripped-off. Briefing the Ghana News Agency on Thursday, the Assistant Headmistress of the school, Mrs Caroline Duncan-Amoah, said the school authority would raise funds to rehabilitate the centre soon to enable students to use it. At Abrenya in the Atiwa District, many farms and foodstuffs were destroyed.
